The prestigious Government Medical College in Rajouri has announced the availability of various faculty positions. Eligible candidates, including Doctors (Non-PSC/retired) from anywhere in India (with or without domicile), are invited to apply for these openings on an “Academic Arrangement basis” in accordance with S.O-364 of 2020 dated 27th November 2020. This special arrangement has been established under the Jammu and Kashmir Medical and Dental Education (Appointment on Academic Arrangement Basis), Rules, 2020, which supersede the previous 2019 rules.

Terms of Employment
The selected candidates will be engaged initially for a period of three years, extendable up to six years (one year at a time based on performance and conduct) for the positions of Professors and Associate Professors. For Assistant Professors, the initial period of engagement is one year, extendable to a maximum of six years, or until a selection/promotion is made on a regular basis as per the recruitment rules governed by the PSC/DPC, whichever comes first.
